Patterned after the world-famous Munich Oktoberfest, La Mesa's version is essentially a giant block party in the downtown village area. The streets are closed off to vehicles, and in their place, more than 400 booths are set up, selling an assortment of high-quality arts and crafts, commercial items and food. Admission to the general festival is free.

The La Mesa Village Farmers' Market has become a tradition on Friday afternoons in the Allison Avenue parking lot east of Spring Street. Between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., rain or shine, shoppers can select from a large assortment of items.

Once a year, La Mesa Boulevard is closed and antique dealers from far and wide set out their wares. Reminiscent of an old fashioned Midwest flea market, there's live music and entertainment. All restaurants, coffee houses and pubs in The Village prepare special fare!

Back to the 50's Car Show from June through August draws more than 2,500 spectators. Classic cars line La Mesa Boulevard and compete in a weekly contest. Enjoy live music, shopping, and dining every Thursday night starting at 5:00pm in The Village.

The Village is transformed into a Victorian Wonderland, with booths selling unique gifts, crafts and specialty items. Perfect for holiday gift giving! Don't miss the Strolling Minstrels, Carolers and Street Entertainers. Live Music is featured in a number of stage areas, while Horse Drawn Carriages and Bonfires fill the Boulevard. The kids will love Santa, the Carnival Rides and the Puppet Shows. Village Merchants feature Holiday Merchandise and Street Vendors create a European Market Atmosphere. Thousands of unique gifts all season long!
